It’s easy to whip up a simple but tasty stir-fry dish on those nights when you’re in a hurry. And in a hurry I am, because the real purpose of this post is to introduce ya’ll to my new addition: video! Be patient, as this is a work in progress; however, it will help me show you in more detail the steps and methods of some of my ideas and recipes. For example, the recipe below is very basic but is the base I use, everything else is optional, that’s why I love it. The video is only a little more than six minutes, but to complete the basic dish in “real time,” without edits, actually took just short of fifteen minutes. Comments welcome, as this is a new way of communicating with you! Enjoy ~ GC
Stir-Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 – 1 lb. flat iron steak
3 cups chopped or julienned vegetables (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon Black bean Garlic sauce
1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons oil
Directions:
Slice the meat. If using frozen or fresh vegetables, prepare as necessary, (I personally use frozen stir-fry peppers and onions, sometimes called “Stir Fry Mix” or “Fajita Mix,” as it saves on prep time). Heat wok and add oil. When oil is ready, add meat and stir-fry until 80 percent done (until the redness in the meat is gone if using beef, or until chicken turns white). Remove and set aside.
Add vegetables to wok. Add sauce and begin stir-frying, mixing the sauce in with the vegetables. Add the meat, and stir-fry rapidly. When vegetables are tender but not overcooked, remove and serve hot over rice
Serves 3-4. Easy and delish! ~ GC
