Why do people start food blogs? Mine came about as a way to communicate with friends, family, (and now total strangers) my love of all things FOOD. So bear with me as I ramble/converse/talk/report from day to day on topics that intrigue me, such as recipes, cookbooks, ingredients, restaurants, events, movies, kitchen utensils, appliances, grocery shopping, and whatever else catches my attention in the food world. Or, whatever I think might catch YOUR attention (homemade dog food, anyone?!).
I hail from Atlanta, Georgia and am currently residing as a chef in Savannah. Hold the Paula Deene comments, please. Yes, I have seen her around town, and no, I do not own any of her cookbooks. But I do love butter. I did my apprenticeship with the American Culinary Federation twelve years ago, after a career in photography that began as a kid. Besides cooking and using a camera, I am also interested in computers, coffee, good friends, cycling, coffee, history, and general “handyman” work. All of the above give me plenty of ideas for blogs.
One last word: Julia brought us into the kitchen and taught us how to cook fifty years ago; Martha made it cool again after a long dry spell of take-out and Lean Cuisine. Okay, maybe that counts as two words. But you get my point.
**Unless otherwise noted All Photos and Videos were taken by me, as-well as all Food. **
I will be right over for that cup of joe! Mine is downright common compared to your delicious sounding coffee!
love your blog!
Love your blog. I do have question that can only be answered from someone of your expertise. Where is the best place to find young, aspiring and innovative chefs in Atlanta, not already executive chefs at popular restaurants?
